For nearly 40 years, the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) have held their annual trade fair. This traditionally has attracted over 2300 exhibitors and 15,000 attendees, making it a very large show in Europe. It has moved over time between cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, and more. Similar to the American show, American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), this show is a large gathering of like minded opthamologists to promote and support research in the field of intraocular lens implantation and refractive surgery.
