Math can be magical, mysterious, and miraculous. You can pile up lots of disappointments and still keep moving forward, but you only need one sensational achievement to build your whole career.
Then there is avoidance – you spend your days steering clear of failure by taking the safe road, doing not much worth criticizing, and because of your lack of action you will never have a clear shot at victory. Avoiding the thing that’s easy to endure keeps you from bumping into the very thing you are after.
And yet we market and work and connect and create as if just one failure might be the end of us. Something to ponder??
