Two years ago carrying an iPad onto the show floor got you allot of attention. Today if you don’t have the latest technology in your hand you are considered an old-timer from the last century. As an attendee you can write your notes, take pictures, and Facetime your office to show them what is happening on the show floor. As an exhibitor you can smarten up your kiosk presentations, show your entire line of products without cluttering your exhibit space, and capture your leads.

Tablet computer data input processes are becoming a great new tool for exhibitors. They can bring together lead capture and qualification, along with product and service presentation. This new technology is far more cost effective than shipping an overabundance of products to the show floor and paying for that shipping and drayage as well. Consider arming each sales person in your exhibit space with a tablet computer and let him become your lead collector and qualifier. Of course you will have to have a program for this – but in the end you will have complete, legible information that can be shared throughout your company. How many times have you seen a salesman to the door, or a salesman who has left with the business cards in his pocket – what did that cost? It is time to step up your technology and keep your information in your house.
