There is a fine line between booth appearance and functionality. Yet, your exhibit must express both of these concepts. Does yours? Exhibit managers do not just handle exhibit appearance and the sales environment. Many times exhibit managers are also sales managers, booth personnel trainers, and the person that makes all of the reservations. However, as the exhibit manager you must take time to stand in the aisle and see if everything looks good, sells your message, and is inviting.
The last thing you need is to be told that your exhibit concept has hindered attendance in your space and/or sales. So stand back and ask yourself … is your booth attractive? Inviting? Selling your brand? Is your booth constrictive with too many products? Can attendees move around? Are you using technology wisely? A five minute run through of products, or a plant tour, or a talking head from on high may not work in the tradeshow atmosphere. So stand back, gather a few of your constituents and tear apart your presentation – or laud how great a job you have produced. Add to your trade show effectiveness quotient for your next show.
