Unless you are an industry insider you cannot attend industry only game and game developers’ shows. However the series of PAX Shows in San Antonio, Boston, Seattle and Melbourne, Australia have changed all of that!
PAX (Penny Arcade) is an extraordinary group of gaming events with halls for console free play, a concert Hall, a handheld lounge, tabletop games, panel discussions, and culminating in the exhibit hall.
With unreleased games and hardware, over one hundred thousand square feet of games, and skyrocketing attendance – what better place to exhibit a company’s latest products or services? There is no better place for an exhibitor to check the acceptance of its latest R&D than from the mouths of the users.
The PAX shows in Seattle and Boston represent the two largest public gaming events in North America and have incredibly increasing attendee numbers as traditional gaming developers are using these venues as testing grounds.
Since its launch in 2004, PAX events have doubled in size almost every year. Connecting the world’s leading video and tabletop game makers with their most avid and influential fans, PAX is a true testing ground for developers before mass production meets the marketplace. Few if any industries are able to test run to such a degree and bring the perfect product to market. PAX takes a multi-million dollar business right to the door of the most avid players and gathers direct input for exhibitors.
“This scenario would be incredible in any industry. To view a mass audience of users and receive feedback before debuting a product or service to retail or wholesale buyers is a true win-win, PAX is a unique event,” explained Todd Koren, CFO Absolute Exhibits.
Absolute Exhibits has built a large number of trade show exhibits for the gaming industry, including several for E3 and a Custom Exhibit for Pokémon, which was debuted at last year’s series of PAX shows. We have also built large exhibits for Marvel Comics and a number of smaller companies at ComiCon.
Absolute Exhibits is prepared to turn an envisioned exhibition into a reality. With $6 million in rental equipment, in-house Graphic production, designers, fabricators, trucking and I&D supervisors, and a no post show billing policy, Absolute Exhibits can bid any companies’ RFQ.
A three or four show contract can save an exhibitor many times over. With an exhibit building collaboration in Australia, Absolute Exhibits will handle the entire PAX show tour. January in Texas, April in Boston, August in Seattle, and Halloween in Australia, what an incredible way to take the industry temperature, tweak products, and keep the gaming world buzzing.
